Proposed Annex: “The Operational Procedure for Approval of Telecommunications Products by Declaration of Conformity for Own Use intended for Amateur Radio, Citizen’s Radio, Maritime Mobile, Aeronautical Mobile, and Satellite Communication Services.”
This innovative approach aims to streamline the approval process for equipment designated for personal use in specified services. Under this proposal:
- Equipment intended for personal use in designated services can be approved via a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) obtained through type testing.
- Designated Certification Bodies (OCDs) will accept copies of the CoC in lieu of test reports.
