– The lists of products requiring submission of a conformity assessment document with customs declarations (EAEU HS codes lists) have been revised.
– The changes provide a more detailed breakdown of product groups (EAEU HS codes) necessitating the submission of a conformity assessment document (certificate, declaration).
– These alterations aim to resolve ambiguities and disputes and streamline EAEU HS codes following recent adjustments to the lists of products in TR CU 004/2011 and TR CU 020/2011 made on December 11, 2022.
The changes took effect on April 16, 2023. Specific examples include the expansion of the products covered by CU TR 004/2011 to incorporate new items like electric motors, transformers, switchgear, and control equipment, as well as the extension of CU TR 020/2011 to include personal computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
Changes to EAC CoC and EAC DoC Forms:
– Updates to forms now feature a QR code.
– Inclusion of factory inspection reports and product manufacturing dates.
– Requirement for information regarding the local representative of the manufacturer.
– These updates became effective on May 6, 2023.
Changes to the EAEU Unified Register of CoCs and DoCs:
– The national part of the register may now encompass additional information not submitted to the EEC, such as GLN (Global Location Number) and GTIN (Global Trade Item Number).
– Inclusion of registration numbers of customs declarations or other relevant documents for imported samples undergoing conformity assessment.
– Addition of details about periodic surveillance, including frequency and timing.
– These changes took effect on May 6, 2023.
These revisions aim to enhance product safety and quality within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) while facilitating compliance for businesses with EAEU requirements.
