Following the development of the “National Radio Law Project,” the Communications, Space, and Technology (CST) has issued an Information Memorandum for the Specialized Radio Network License in the 450 MHz bands. This initiative aligns with the Spectrum Outlook for Commercial and Innovative Use 2021-2023.
The objectives of this Specialized Radio Network License include allocating a 450 MHz Radio License for nationwide network deployment, facilitating national shared business radio networks to enhance technology and services, alleviating congestion in the 400 MHz bands, catering to the needs of various users, and ensuring reasonable service pricing.
The publication of the Information Memorandum follows a public consultation in 2022, setting the deadline for eligible applicants to submit their applications by Sunday, July 9th, 2023. This development does not impact type approval, spectrum allocations, imports, standards, or products.
