The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of Oman has declared that effective April 1, 2023, all commercially imported mobile phones must adhere to the requirement of supporting Voice over LTE (VoLTE). Additionally, TRA has outlined plans to commence the sunset phase for 2G and 3G networks in Oman, starting in the third quarter of 2024.
