The Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) has released Circular 04/2023/TT-BTTTT, which replaces Circular 02/2022/TT-BTTTT. Key updates include:
- New Standards
- QCVN 130:2022/BTTTT – RF EMC Standard for Wireless Audio Devices.
- QCVN 131:2022/BTTTT – RF Standard for EUTRA NB-IoT.
- QCVN 132:2022/BTTTT – Safety Standard for Tablets, Desktops, Laptops, DECT Phones, Set Top Boxes, and Televisions (mandatory from January 1, 2024).
- QCVN 18:2022/BTTTT – RF EMC Standard for Radar 76–77 GHz and 5G.
- QCVN 130:2022/BTTTT – RF EMC Standard for Wireless Audio Devices.
- Changes to Existing Standards
- QCVN 65:2013/BTTTT will be invalidated, while QCVN 65:2021/BTTTT becomes mandatory.
- NFC 13.56 MHz and SRD 5.8 GHz are moved to Annex 2, where only a Declaration of Conformity is required.
- 5G NR devices must support both SA and NSA. Type approval certificates for devices supporting only SA or NSA will remain valid until June 30, 2024.
- QCVN 65:2013/BTTTT will be invalidated, while QCVN 65:2021/BTTTT becomes mandatory.
Under the new Circular, type approval certificates must be updated to comply with the revised standards and obtain test reports for the new Safety or EMC requirements. The regulation takes effect on July 15, 2023.
