The Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) of Kuwait issued Resolution No. 297/2023 on June 11, 2023, “regarding stopping the granting of import and entry permits for telecommunication peripheral devices that operate solely on second- and third-generation technologies, or both, into the state markets.” Telecommunications devices operating only on 2G and/or 3G will be prohibited from import and entry into Kuwait starting September 1, 2023.
