The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) in Canada published Radio Standard Specification RSS-216, Issue 3, “Wireless power transfer devices,” on September 3, 2024. During a one-year transition period, RSS-216, Issue 2 could still be used until September 3, 2025. From September 4, 2025, certification applications will only be accepted under RSS-216, Issue 3, and all equipment manufactured, imported, distributed, sold, offered for sale, or leased in Canada must comply with Issue 3.
