The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore has introduced new regulations for Short Message Service (SMS) SIM Boxes, also referred to as GSM Modem Pools or SMS Gateways. Starting February 1, 2025, SMS SIM Boxes with five or more SIM card slots will be classified as prohibited telecommunication equipment and cannot be imported without prior approval from IMDA.
