Mexico IFT Updates Annual Program for Use and Utilization of Frequency Bands 2025

The Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFETEL) has updated the Programa Anual de Uso y Aprovechamiento de Bandas de Frecuencias 2025 on February 6, 2025. Originally issued on September 25, 2024, the Annual Program now incorporates the following revisions:

• Addition of Table 2.1.2.2 for FM sound broadcasting (public use) and Table 2.1.3.2 for Digital Terrestrial Television (public use).
  
• Partial modifications in the Frequency Tables:
  
  • AM Band – Table 2.1.1.1 (commercial use), Table 2.1.1.2 (public use), and Table 2.1.1.3 (social use).
    
  • FM Band – Table 2.1.2.1 (commercial use) and Table 2.1.2.3 (social use).
    
  • DTT Service – Table 2.1.3.1 (commercial use) and Table 2.1.3.3 (social use).
    
• Section 3.1.
  
• Section 3.3 Table of Terms by Type of Use.
  
• Section 3.5, along with the First and Second Transitional Articles.
  
• Entire Fourth Transitional Article.
