The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) opened a public consultation on February 20, 2025, concerning the Radio Standards Specification RSS-247, Issue 4: “Digital Transmission Systems, Frequency Hopping Systems and Licence-Exempt Local Area Network Devices in 902-928 MHz, 2400-2483.5 MHz, 5150-5350 MHz, and 5470-5895 MHz bands.”
The standard specifies certification requirements for:
- Digital Transmission Systems (DTS)
- Frequency Hopping Systems (FHS)
- Hybrid Systems
- Licence-Exempt Local Area Networks (LE-LAN)
