The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) in Canada has released Radio Standards Specification RSS-192, Issue 5, for Flexible Use Broadband Equipment Operating in the 3450–3900 MHz Band. Key updates to this specification include:
- Extending the frequency range from 3650 MHz to 3900 MHz and updating the standard’s title
- Modifying transmitter output power for indoor base stations and subscriber equipment, excluding fixed subscriber equipment
- Introducing requirements for out-of-band unwanted emissions for equipment operating beyond 3900 MHz
- Removing test report obligations
- Making editorial changes and clarifications to terms as needed
