The Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad & Tobago (TATT) conducted the second round of public consultation on the “Equipment Standardisation and Certification Framework for the Telecommunications and Broadcasting Sectors” on June 15, 2023. TATT published Version 2 of the Framework on September 25, 2023. The framework addresses several topics, including:
- Enforcement of application fees
- Allowance of modular approvals
- Certificate validity period of 5 years
- Clarification of the certificate revision process
- Exemption of Rx-only products from approval
- Exemption of wired devices from approval
