The India Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) issued a notification on July 1, 2024, extending a generic exemption from submitting test reports for test parameters and interfaces of various Equipment under MTCTE. The exemption is valid until December 31, 2024, or until further notice. It applies to the following devices:
- Mobile Radio Trunking System
- Repeater for Cellular Network
- Precision Timing Protocol Grand Master Equipment
- VHF UHF Radio System Equipment
- Radio Broadcast Receiver
- ADSLx
- VDSLx
- Optical Fiber (Single Mode)
- Optical Fiber Cable
- HF Radio System
- GPS
TEC also issued a notification detailing the requirements for certain parameters of Equipment in the “PON Family of Broadband Equipment” under MTCTE.
