The Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) in Brazil announced on September 24, 2024, that changes to the Certificate renewal process will apply to OCDs. Key points include:
- Certificates can only be renewed before the expiration date or within a 6-month grace period after expiration in certain cases.
- For renewals within 6 months after expiration, all renewal documents and test reports must be uploaded to the ANATEL system before the end of the 6-month window.
- For Certificates expired more than 6 months, a new approval with testing and a new ANATEL ID will be required.
ANATEL has not yet issued an official announcement formalizing these changes.
