The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA has adopted rules allowing drones to operate in the 5 GHz (5030–5091 MHz) frequency band. These rules aim to ensure the safe control of Uncrewed Aircraft System (UAS) flights. The Report and Order was released on August 29, 2024.
