The Government of Vietnam announced a restructuring plan on December 6, 2024, to improve organizational efficiency. Under this plan, the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) will merge with the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) to form either the Ministry of Science, Technology and Digital Transformation or the Ministry of Science, Technology, Digital Transformation and Communications. The merger is expected to occur in Q1 2025.
