The Direktorat Jenderal Infrastruktur Digital (DJID) of Kementerian Komunikasi dan Digital (Komdigi) in Indonesia opened a public consultation on July 23, 2025, regarding the Technical Standards for Land Mobile Radio Telecommunications Devices. The draft regulation includes:
- Updated EMC requirements to comply with CISPR 32 or ETSI EN 301 489
- Updated Electrical Safety requirements to comply with IEC 60950-1 or IEC 62368-1
- Categorization of Land Mobile Radio devices:
- Conventional radio devices: Handheld, Mobile, Base/Repeater, Radio Modem
- Trunked radio devices: Handheld, Mobile, Base/Repeater, Radio Modem
- Private mobile radio devices
- Conventional radio devices: Handheld, Mobile, Base/Repeater, Radio Modem
- Updated frequency limits based on the Indonesian Radio Frequency Spectrum Allocation Table (TASFRI)
- Limited test parameters to prevent harmful interference
- Removal of certain test parameters, including temperature, impedance, and modulation
- Additional internationally standardized test methods
