Burundi’s Agency for Regulation and Control of Telecommunications (ARCT) has launched a new digital platform on November 10, 2025, to manage authorizations for electronic communications equipment.
The platform covers import and export authorizations, equipment entry/exit permits, and exploitation or use authorizations. By digitalizing the full authorization process, ARCT aims to reduce physical visits and manual paperwork, enable real-time application tracking, enhance traceability through timestamps and automated document validation, and improve the management and archiving of regulatory records.
