The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has published a Final Rule allowing Geofenced Variable Power (GVP) devices to operate in the U-NII-5 and U-NII-7 portions of the 5.925–7.125 GHz (6 GHz) frequency band. Issued on February 25, 2026, the rule will come into effect on April 27, 2026.
