The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) opened a public consultation on June 4, 2024, regarding the potential deployment of Radio Local Area Networks (RLANs) and/or Wide-Area Wireless Broadband (WA WBB) in the upper 6 GHz frequency band (6425–7125 MHz).
