The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) conducted a public consultation to remake the Telecommunications (Labelling Notice for Customer Equipment and Customer Cabling) Instrument 2015, seven telecommunications standards, and the Telecommunications Disability Standard, all scheduled to sunset on April 1, 2025. ACMA published the consultation outcomes on March 20, 2025. The Disability Standard and Technical Standards came into effect on March 30, 2025, while the Telecommunications Labelling Notice took effect on March 31, 2025.
