The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) in Canada issued a Notice on June 4, 2025, extending the entry into force of Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC) requirements and volume control for cellphone manufacturers. The compliance deadline is now January 1, 2028, two years later than originally planned.
