The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) has launched a public consultation on updates to RSS-Gen, Issue 6, “General requirements for compliance of radio apparatus,” which sets out general requirements for both licensed and licence-exempt radio devices, and RSS-310, Issue 6, “Licence-exempt radio apparatus: category II equipment,” which outlines requirements for licence-exempt radio devices that are not subject to certification. Opened on February 26, 2026, the consultation will remain available for comments until May 29, 2026.
