Egypt issued Ministerial Decree No. 7 of 2025, providing a six-month transitional period for producers and importers to comply with Egyptian Standard ES 2501-1, which sets safety requirements for audio/video and information and communication technology equipment. This standard adopts the technical content of IEC 62368-1:2023 and cancels and replaces the previous Egyptian Standard ES 2501.
