The Communications Authority (CA) and Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (SCED) of Hong Kong launched a public consultation on July 18, 2023, regarding the 6570–6770 MHz and 6925–7125 MHz frequency bands in the 6/7 GHz band for public mobile services and the deployment of 5G networks and services. CA also proposes allocating the 6425–7075 MHz band for mobile services in addition to the existing allocations for fixed service and fixed satellite service (Earth-to-space). The consultation is open for comments until August 15, 2023.
