India’s National Center for Communication Security (NCCS) issued a notification on December 29, 2025, simplifying the testing and certification process for ONT devices.
In a follow-up notification dated January 1, 2026, NCCS clarified that ONU devices are subject to the same instructions, circulars, office memoranda, and notifications that apply to ONT devices.
