The Ministry of Communications (MoC) in India announced on May 5, 2025, a 4-day workshop organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Area Office & Innovation Centre, the National Communications Academy–Finance (NCA-F), the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), and the Indian government. The workshop focused on AI standard development for Telecommunications and ICTs, bringing together participants from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, India, and the Maldives to collaborate on trustworthy, globally harmonized AI standards for these devices.
