The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) of Japan launched a public consultation on October 11, 2025, regarding a proposed amendment to the Radio Act Enforcement Regulations to facilitate the introduction of 5G services in the 26 GHz frequency band. The consultation is open for public comments until November 10, 2025.
