The Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) of Malaysia issued the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (EECA) of 2024 on November 26, 2024. The Act governs energy efficiency and conservation and applies to energy-using products listed in the Guidelines on Energy-Using Product, including air conditioners, refrigerators, domestic fans, lamps, televisions, washing machines, microwave ovens, rice cookers, freezers, and electric ovens.
