The Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFETEL) of Mexico has opened two public consultations:
- Preliminary Draft Agreement to amend the Guidelines for the approval of products, equipment, devices, or apparatus for telecommunications or broadcasting
- This Draft Agreement aims to update the approval Guidelines to explicitly include the requirement of the IFT Seal as an additional labeling element and to expand printing options for the IFT Seal, allowing both physical and electronic formats.
- The Draft Agreement is expected to take effect on March 31, 2025, after the consultation period.

- The Draft seeks to modify general requirements for printing, digitization, or reproduction of the IFT Seal on approved devices, to provide the vector file of the IFT Seal via an electronic portal, and to extend the effective date of the Guidelines to March 31, 2025.
