The Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFETEL) of Mexico published the Annual Program for the Use and Utilization of Frequency Bands 2025 (PABF 2025) in the Diario Oficial de la Federación on September 25, 2024.
Key inclusions in PABF 2025:
- 415–420 MHz / 425–430 MHz and 806–814 MHz / 851–859 MHz: designated for trunked radio services for public use.
- 824–849 MHz / 869–894 MHz: allocated for mobile communication services for social use.
The Radio Spectrum Unit has been instructed to review and assess requests for inclusion and, if applicable, submit a draft amendment to PABF 2025 to the Plenary Session of the Institute after 30 business days, in accordance with Article 61 of the Law.
