The Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) published a notification with the following updates:
- UWB devices are now permitted in the 6–8.5 GHz frequency band.
- The 865 MHz band is now allowed.
- 5G trials are ongoing in Nepal.
- Consumer Premises Equipment supporting the bands listed in Table 1 (page 18) and Table 4 (page 21) is pending NTA’s decision for type approval eligibility.
- The 6 GHz band remains prohibited for Wi-Fi 6E.
