The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in Singapore announced on July 26, 2023, that 3G networks and services will be shut down starting July 31, 2024. From November 1, 2023, IMDA will no longer accept new registrations or renewals of 3G-only mobile terminals and non-VoLTE capable mobile phones or smartphones. Sales of such devices for local use will be prohibited starting February 1, 2024.
