The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand issued an announcement in October 2025 requesting cooperation from operators to register Wireless Network Video Recorders (Wireless NVRs) used in Radio Local Area Networks (RLANs). The registration must comply with the applicable technical standards for radio equipment operating in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands before the devices are manufactured or imported for sale in Thailand.
