The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA published the “Delete, Delete, Delete; Removal of Obsolete Regulations” Rule on August 4, 2025. The Rule repeals outdated and unnecessary regulations related to prior notice and comment. Comments are open until August 14, 2025, and the Rule will take effect on October 3, 2025. If significant adverse comments are received by August 14, 2025, the FCC will withdraw provisions that will not take effect.
The FCC also published the “Delete, Delete, Delete; Delegations of Authority” Rule on August 4, 2025, which modifies delegation of authority rules to be exempt from prior notice and comment under the Administrative Procedure Act. This Rule is now in effect.
