The Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) of Vietnam announced on September 16, 2024, that the 2G network shutdown will be postponed by one month due to infrastructure and communication disruptions caused by Storm Yagi. The new deadline for 2G network cessation is October 15, 2024.
