Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology has released Circular 29/2025/TT-BKHCN, replacing Circular 02/2024/TT-BTTTT and introducing new compliance requirements for technology-related products.
Key updates include:
- Industrial computers (HS code 8471.41.90) are now added to the mandatory certification list.
- Several local standards for satellite and marine equipment will be paused until December 15, 2026: QCVN 38:2011/BTTTT, QCVN 39:2011/BTTTT, QCVN 26:2011/BTTTT, QCVN 28:2011/BTTTT.
- The exemption previously applied to shipments of up to three products will be removed.
The Circular officially comes into effect on December 31, 2025.
